This update will affect all advertisers using ads which appear on Google Search Network – the standard text ads you see in search results.
In total, text ads can now have up to three headlines and two descriptions. A new third headline and second description line will make the ad much bigger, similar to the example above. Description lines have also changed from 80 characters to 90 characters, plus there will be two available. Google may alter the order of the headlines based on performance and user device.
Another new feature coming in September will be Responsive Search Ads, whereby advertisers can provide up to 15 headlines and 4 description lines and allow Google to test the best combinations of ads using machine learning.
